Halloween and Sequences art festival

Á sunnudaginn þann 1. nóvember ætlum við að hittast í kjallara Hins Hússins kl 16. Þar verður splæst í kaffi og kökur, mögulega smá Halloween eftirmáli - graskerskaka, nammi, skegg og skrítin gleraugu. Klukkan 17 hefst mjög sérstaktur viðburður í Hafnarhúsinu. Magnús Pálsson listamaður verður með opnun á nýju ljóðhljóðaverki. Gjörningurinn er opin fyrir alla, og verður mjög gaman að sjá. Viðburðurinn er hluti af Sequences listahátíðinni (sequences.is). Magnús er heiðursgestur hátíðarinnar.

Hey bridge,

On Sunday the 1st of November we are going to meet in the basement of Hitt Húsið at 4 p.m. We will have a Halloween theme, pumpkin pie, candy, mustaches and funny glasses. At 5 p.m. we want to invite the bridge to come to an opening of a new SoundPoetry/Visual art piece by the artist Magnús Pálsson in Hafnarhúsið. It is part of the Sequences art festival going on in Reykjavík this week (sequences.is). There is a very interesting venue for free for everyone that wants. Magnús is the guest of honor of the festival, and this piece is very promising.

Lindy Hop Workshop

Á sunnudaginn þann 25. okt kl 15 verður kennsla í Lindy Hop! Gengið er inn frá pósthússtræti, kjallara dyrnar. Síðast vorum við með danskennslu fyrir tveimur vikum og það gekk svo vel að við ákváðum að hafa það á ný. Fáum til okkar tvo frábæra kennara. Aftur verður farið í grunninn og haldið svo áfram í frekar spor. Allir eru hvattir til að mæta. Það þarf enginn að hafa neinn bakgrunn í dansi!
Ókeypis fyrir alla og góð kynning á danslistinni!
Mæta í þægilegum, hreyfanlegum fötum og alls ekki vera óhrædd við að prófa!

On Sunday the 25th of October at 3 p.m. we will get two wonderful teachers to teach Lindy Hop! Two weeks ago the same teachers came to the bridge and it was so much fun that we have decided to have it again, though of as a beginners course in dancing. We encourage everyone to come. No expierence needed!
This is free for everyone and a great introduction to dancing.
Show up in comfortable clothes and don't be afraid to try this out.
Entrance to Hitt Húsið is from Pósthússtræti.

Off Venue Airwaves

Á sunnudaginn þann 18. okt kl 15, er planið að hittast niðrí Hinu Húsi og rölta á off venue tónleika á Airwaves. Það eru allskonar tónleikar í gangi, ókeypis og útúm allt !

Eftir tónleikana ætlum við svo að kíkja saman á kaffihús, spjalla yfir sjóðandi kakói með nóg af rjóma.

On Sunday the 18th of October at 3 p.m. we are going to check out some off venue concert, part of the Airwaves music festival. There are all kinds of concert in lots of exciting place, all for free!

Á sunnudaginn þann 11. október fáum við til okkar tvo stórkostlega danskennara. Þau ætla að kenna okkur helstu og skemmtilegustu taktík í Lindy Hopp. Gengið er inn frá Austurstræti, kjallara Hins Hússins. Stuðið hefst kl 15. Allir að mæta í þægilegum fötum og í góðu stuði. Tónlist og dans. Veivei.

We are going to meet in the basement of Hitt Húsið (entrance from Austurstræti). The fun starts at 3 p.m. Everybody show up in comfortable clothes. Music and dance. Yey.
