Jólagleði

Hæ brú, (english version below)
Það styttist óðum í jólin. Jólaljósin komin út, laugavegurinn fyllist af fólki í jólagjafaleit og jólalögum hljóma útum allt. Á sunnudaginn þann 20. desember kl 19 verður jólagleði í Hinu Húsinu. Það verður pipakökugerð og jólagjafaleikur, hugljúf jólatónlist, heitt kakó og gómsætt snarl. Allir sem vilja vera með í jólagjafaleik koma með pakka (sem má ekki kosta meira en 500 kr.). Þetta verður kósí jólastund svona rétt fyrir jólin sjálf.

Christmas is almost here. The lights are in the window, laugavegurinn er full of people looking for presents and Christmas tunes sound everywhere. On Sunday the 20th of December at 7 p.m. we will have a cosy Christmas party in Hitt Húsið. We will decorate gingerbread cookies and have a secret santa gaman, beautiful Christmas music, hot chocolate and yummy snacks. Everyone that wants to be a part of the Secret Santa gama bring a present (has to cost less than 500 kr.). A cosy evening with freinds just before Christmas arrives.

Jólaföndur

Á sunnudagin þann 13. des kl 16 verður jólaföndur Brúarinnar í kjallara Hins Hússins (gengið inn frá Pósthússtæri). Við verðum með allskonar efnivið og planið er að búa til jólakort eða heimatilbúnar jólagjafir. Það verður malt og appelsín, gómsætar piparkökur, mandarínur og ljúfa jólatónlist á fóninum. Það eru allir velkomnir að koma líka með eigin efnivið ef þið eruð með hugmyndir eða til að deila með öðrum.

On Sunday the 13th of December at 4 p.m. we will make Christmas card or handmade presents. Meeting place is in the basement of Hitt Húsið (entrance is from Pósthússtræti). We will have all kinds of creative material to create whatever we like. There will be malt and appelsín, clementines, gingerbread cookies and cosy christmas music to enjoy. Everyone is welcome to bring aswell their own material if you have special ideas or to share with the rest.

Laufabrauðsgerð

Á sunnudaginn þann 6. desember verður laufabrauðsgerð í kjallara Hins Hússins kl 19 (gengið inn frá Pósthússtræti). Til okkar kemur stúlka sem ætlar kenna okkur þessa fallegu list. Þá skerum við út, steikjum og verðum með smá jólajól. Boðið verður upp á mandarínur og piparkökur. Svo verður jólapakki fyrir þann sem sker út flottustu mynd.

On Sunday the 6th of December we will make traditional Icelandic Christmas bread, called laufabrauð. This is an ancient Christmas tradition in Iceland. We will meet at 7 p.m. in the basement of Hitt Húsið (entrance from Pósthússtræti). A special guest will come to teach us how to cut out, fry and make this delicious bread. There will be clementines and gingerbread cookies for everyone. For the most beautiful design in the bread we will have a special prize.
